As a teacher, I will definitely be using technology to engage my students, enhance their experiences and extend their future education. Within my classroom, I will allow my students to use technology to explain their knowledge, to share their work and to collaborate with other students. As a teacher, I will use technology for classroom management, and to make sure my students are getting their knowledge to their fullest potential. I will highlight my students strengths using technology by allowing them to show their knowledge and sharing it with others. I will us technology to connect my students to the outside world by connecting with Skype from authors or people in different work fields. Technology today is a very useful tool to use to extend my students knowledge. I must be able to teach my students how to safely use technology during their school day and outside of school. I will use technology to keep track of my data for my students and for myself for the future and to reflect on it as a teacher. I will also use technology to assess my students’ knowledge and be able to give them feedback efficiently. Technology is a helpful tool to use to keep in contact with parents and families of my students, so I will use it to keep my families connected to the classroom and be able to feel comfortable with contacting me as their children’s teacher. In the 21st century I will be able to use technology to be sure that my students are not just learning inside of my classroom but are able to learn outside of the classroom using technology and the skills that I have taught them. With society today, everything is based off of technology so I will be able to use technology in an efficient way in my classroom to engage my students, enhance their learning and extend their knowledge.
